The Holy TrinityTM

3 Healthy Tasty Food Enhancers

We put a pack together to introduce you to some great flavours that we intend to stock long term at Brighton Chilli Shop. We start with one of our favourite chillies ‘Mulato’ a sweet and liquorice flavour with a hint of smokiness to it. The other chilli of The Holy Trinity pack is ‘Chipotle’ a classical smoked chilli that would delight anyone with a tooth for smoked food.

Next we go to an ingredient loved by many, garlic and Black Garlic. We have sourced the best ‘Black Garlic’ available and have made it part of this pack in order to introduce this royal product to the masses. There’s a plethora of recipes with Black Garlic on the web and some cook books, but we would recommend you to try it on its own first so that you get to know this healthy and delicious germ of the kitchen. If you’re within the drinking age, a glass of your preferred whiskey or brandy would be great companion to this sweet, syrupy, liquorish and balsamic vinegar like product. Black Garlic is white garlic turned into black garlic through a long process, up to 90 days, of subjecting garlic to a steady heat and humidity. Add to this the presence of the fresh raw garlic and the garlic side of it is complete, although our smoked garlic could have been added to the pack.

Last we have the beautiful lime, dried lime and black lime also known as Noumi Basra or Oman Lemon. These ingredients have been used in Persian cooking for a long time. So you may ask ‘What is dried lime?’ or ‘What is black lime?’. They are limes left to dry in the sun for a long time so they turn dry and hard as rock. Dried lime and black lime have a unique aromatic flavour. They can be added whole to soups, stews or tagines. Let them in the saucepan or caracole to get soft then poke a few holes to it so that the flavour spreads. Black and dried limes can be ground to make lime powder to be added to salads and dressings.
